On January 21, Tripadvisor released a new research report based on the platform’s insight into shifting traveller trends, revealing consumer’s planning and booking behaviour and their attitudes to holiday-taking in the year ahead.
The report “The Year of the Travel Rebound: 5 Traveler Trends to Watch Out for in 2021” analyses first-party Tripadvisor search data as well as travellers’ sentiment across six major markets (the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Italy, Japan and Singapore), and reveals consumers’ increasing confidence on the possibility of travelling abroad in 2021, particularly in the second half of the year.
