The HOTREC family extends to Croatia!
DUBLIN, 25-26 October 2012 –
On the occasion of its 65th General Assembly, HOTREC*, the trade
association of hotels, restaurants and cafés in the European Union welcomed as
a new member UPUHH, the Croatian Association of Employers in the Hospitality
Industry. Mr. Kent Nyström, President of HOTREC, commented: "The constant extension of the HOTREC family
across Europe is a clear
demonstration of its success in representing and defending the hospitality
industry’s interests in the EU. As Croatia will soon access the European Union,
HOTREC will gain even further legitimacy and effectiveness in its activities.”
Through its membership in HOTREC, the Croatian
Association of Employers in the Hospitality Industry will add its expertise to
those of the other HOTREC member associations to the benefit of the European
hospitality industry. It will allow HOTREC’s voice to be reinforced, therefore,
consolidating its position as a key interlocutor for the European institutions
on a wide range of policy issues impacting directly or indirectly the industry
at EU level. The Croatian Association of Employers in the Hospitality Industry is
first becoming an observer within HOTREC and will automatically acquire full
membership on the day of Croatia’s accession to the European Union.
