Enhancing the digitalisation of the EU tourism sector - Note from the Council Presidency

On 19 November 2019, the Finnish Presidency issued an information note on “Enhancing the digitalization of the EU tourism sector”. Following up on the May 2019 Council conclusions on the competitiveness of the tourism sector, the Finnish Presidency of the EU opted to focus its attention on enhancing the digitalization of the sector, covering data, innovation and skills in particular. This information note summarises the Finnish Presidency’s conclusions on the digitalization of the EU tourism sector, which were the result of discussions in the Council Working Group on Tourism as well as consultations with the EU Member States and EU Directors-General responsible for tourism.
