Context: The Hospitality sector has been severely hit by the crisis and will take a long time to recover. Businesses face major liquidity shortages, impacting investment and employment, and consumers need to be reassured. On 19 March 2020, the European Commission deployed the temporary State Aid mechanism, which allows Member States to address written procedures to the European Commission, in order for State Aid to be provided at national level. The ceiling of 800.000€ applies for aids granted until end 2020, per company. This applies to direct grants, repayable advances, tax or payments advantages.
