Update on Strong Customer Authentication

Alongside tourism and business stakeholders, HOTREC is requesting the European Commission and the European Banking Authority to consider further delaying the implementation of the Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) and harmonizing the deadline to avoid issues linked to cross-border payments. In order for HOTREC to contribute to the current policy discussion and sustain requests to further extend the deadline for SCA implementation at EU level, HOTREC invites its Members to consider the following questions outlined in the memo below ahead of the upcoming HOTREC Distribution and STR Joint Working Group of 18 June 2020 discussion on the state of preparedness for SCA implementation.
