Digital Services Act - HOTREC Position Paper and response to EC public consultation

  HOTREC Position paper on the Digital Services Act Over the course of summer, we have received several very helpful comments to improve the draft we circulated last June. The new version in attachment we hope reflects these comments. We would like to consider the following document - – as the final text that will be used for the creation of a final position paper document (with improved layout and infographics) and as a part of our response to the European Commission’s public consultation (see below). Where relevant, we will add targeted sections addressing specific issues raised at various stages of the policy making process (see as an example the version ‘, which includes voting recommendations addressing the European Parliament's upcoming report). European Commission public consultation on the Digital Services Act The deadline to complete the extensive European Commission’s public consultation is on 8 September. We have drafted a detailed response based on the above-mentioned position paper, as well as previously adopted HOTREC policy submissions such as our response to the 2019 public consultation on the , the 2017 and on the Platform-to-Business Regulation.
