Call for action: HOTREC online distribution survey

The HOTREC and HES-SO Valais Hotel Distribution Study is back once again to provide hotels across Europe solid evidence of how and where consumers book their hotel rooms and how this is evolving. The survey questionnaire is now available in 27 languages. HOTREC members are invited to share the link to the survey questionnaire to their national hotel establishment members in order to gather responses. The more answers we receive in each European country, the more our survey results will be credible and representative of how hotel distribution is evolving at European and national level. The input of hoteliers around Europe is indispensable to make the survey representative, credible and actionable. It will approximately 10 minutes for hotel establishments to respond to the questionnaire. Answers will be treated confidentially and anonymously: no individual hotel will be identifiable in any reports or results generated as a result of this survey due to data aggregation. Survey results shall of course be shared with HOTREC members once the study is finalized. Survey results are being gathered and analysed by Dr. Roland Schegg of HES-SO Valais (University of Applied Sciences of Western Switzerland Valais) who has already contacted your organization by email. Data analysis will begin by mid to late March. We therefore suggest that you give your members an initial two weeks to participate in the survey. A reminder should be provided afterwards with a 10-day delay. Further information, technical and background information are available in the memo here below.
