Market study on the distribution of hotel accommodation in the EU

European Commission DG COMP has outsourced study to provide up-to-date evidence on the distribution of the hotel accommodation in the EU. It will focuson hotel distribution market developments since 2016, effects of ban on narrow price parity and differences between Member States.

The study will include Interviews with hotels, hotel chains, booking platforms, metasearch/price comparison sites and other relevant organizations throughout spring 2021. The study covers the period from January 2017 to March 2021 inclusive and the following Member States: Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Poland, Spain and Sweden.
